ABOUT THE ROLE
As the On Train Host you will be first point of contact for passengers’ queries, assist with boarding and disembarking passengers, and provide assistance with the buffet.
These positions are based out of East Perth, Northam, and Kalgoorlie. Permanent part-time, and casual positions available.
You will be:
Providing a high level of customer service to passengers by assisting with queries and attending to any special needs for the disabled/
elderly and monitor any unaccompanied children. Assisting the SPA at intermediate stations for boarding and disembarking passengers. Speak to your team leader or supervisor regarding any concerns
Assisting with buffet until required by the SPA to board the train
Once departed, walking through the railcars with the SPA and close all the overhead lockers, checking luggage is secured properly and ensuring that no intermediate luggage is placed at the end luggage compartments.
Once the buffet is open for service, assisting the PA in the buffet. With the assistance of the SPA, ensuring cars are walked through every 15 minutes, collecting rubbish and checking toilets to ensure they are clean.
To be successful in this role you will:
Act in accordance with training provided by Delron and create a positive and safe working
Maintain a high level of customer service at all times
Have experience in a similar role and be familiar with hospitality processes
The following certificates are desirable:
Responsible Service of Alcohol
Senior First Aid Training (within the last 2 years)
Fire Extinguisher Training (within the last 2 years)
Manual Handling Training (within the last 2 years)
And a Police Check (within the last 3 months)
You will also be required to undertake a pre-placement medical as part of the recruitment process, and provide proof of working rights in Australia.
Applicants who are not Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents must provide proof of entitlement to work including any restrictions on hours of work.
Additional Job-Specific Training will be provided by Delron for all successful candidates once they commence employment.
