About the role
In this significant transport infrastructure management project, the Bid Manager will deliver commercial results by developing, implementing and continuously improving the bid and proposal process. Working closely with the Bid Team, your focus will be to project manage bid activities, manage the bidding life cycle and ensure the delivery of on-time and best in class tender responses.
What you’ll be doing:
Create and support a culture of “Safety & Health above all else”
Managing, leading and quality control of the bids and proposals processes
Develop the tender process to streamline tender preparation & improve submission quality
Management of the bid lodgement and bid governance processes
Understanding client drivers and associated bid strategies and articulating the solutions
Developing innovative solutions and dynamic responses to service based bids
Be the central point of contact for tender & bid requests for the sales and operations team
Liaising with managers and directors to ensure all proposals are appropriately resourced
What you will need:
Experience in developing large and complex tenders with demonstrated experience in bid management
Understanding of Transport Infrastructure (ideally roads and network management)
Understanding of infrastructure contracts, ideally with significant experience in road and networks.
Ability to identify, understand and articulate client issues, hot buttons, and benefits
Record of success in the preparation of bids in a service-based environment
Executive level communication reflective of the senior stakeholders (internal and external)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Able to extract ideas & structure a compelling document reflecting winning themes.
