About the role
This business-critical role will develop and implement clear bid strategies that result in valuable contracts for Ventia and our customer. The position will also ensure effective planning and management of the bid program and bid budget to ensure profitability, cash flow and margin fall within the risk appetite.
What you’ll be doing:
Overseeing the Bid Program including managing the Bid team to deliver a solution that will:
Meet client specifications,
Incorporate innovative asset management approaches
Manage financial, SHEQ, P&C and community risks
You will perform many different roles as an Executive Manager including leader, coach, and partner.
What you will need:
You will have spent at least 10 years in a GM or Senior Divisional Role overseeing Infrastructure Maintenance and will have engineering qualifications
You will have extensive understanding of managing transport infrastructure contracts, ideally with significant experience in road and networks
You will be experienced at effective planning and management of large/ complex bid programs and bid budgets, cash flow and margin fall within the risk appetite
Demonstrated experience in understanding of the commercial elements of transport infrastructure and how to manage risks and opportunities
Executive level communication reflective of the senior stakeholders (internal and external)
Demonstrated experience of leading each stage of the of the bid negotiations including the contract negotiation phase, in order to achieve successful contract award
Maintaining Strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are anticipated, understood and met is also critical in this role
