ABOUT THE ROLE
The WHS&E Coordinator provides support and guidance on WHS & Environmental requirements on the City of Sydney Contract and auditing these requirements against process and standards, whilst working in a team environment that supports the entire Ventia business. This includes:
Contributing to meeting the City’s key targets and objectives in the 2030 Strategy
Assisting the WHS Advisor conduct site assurance checks of contractor training, competency and licencing requirements through VisRes dashboard
Maintaining and recording all safety related records within the safety/document control system
Developing or assisting in the development of safety requirements I.e. Safety Health & Environment Work Method Statements (SHEWMS) , Job Safety Environment Analysis (JSEA) and Safe Work Instruction (SWI)in compliance with WHS legislation and Ventia SHEQ policy.
Being responsible for compliance of subcontractors and direct employees within VisRes
The key to your success in this role will be your ability to demonstrate commitment to WHS through personal example and behaviours, visible and accountable leadership and participation in monitoring of established working practices. In addition to this you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related & WHS
Certificate IV training & Assessment
Auditing Qualification (preferred)
ICAM Incident Investigation training
Training in Environment and/or Quality management systems
Experience in Facilities Management industry or similar
Knowledge of safety legislations, standards, codes of practice
Strong stakeholder engagement
