We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to work across high profile arterial roads within the Sydney region.
Our team of highly motivated professional working on incident response and maintenance services across NSW, we maintain 670 kilometres of roads, 201 bridges and eight tunnels as part of NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS). Our teams work on the Cross City Tunnel which over 10 years has had 150m vehicle journeys, the Eastern Distributor which sits under Australia’s most densely populated urban area as well as the 3.6km Lane Cove Tunnel and 21km Hills M2 Motorway.

About the role
We are looking for a passionate, and highly motivated Electrical Technician to join the team on a permanent basis working on the Eastern Distributor. Reporting to the Electrical, Mechanical and ITS Manager, you will be responsible for delivering work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring safety cost, quality and efficiency as you do, so that our client’s portfolio is maintained to a high level.
As the Electrical Technician you will work across a range of projects, requiring you to be adaptable and able to manage many tasks at once, while working with a high degree of autonomy. Ideally you will have experience on electrical preventive and corrective maintenance activities on major infrastructure.
You will also have great stakeholder engagement, planning and problem-solving skills to be able to:
Conducting technical investigations to identify replacement and improvement opportunities.
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance as directed.
Provide supervision of specialist subcontractors to ensure site safety standards are maintained.
Respond to emergencies and incidents as required.
Updating asset management systems including asset condition reporting.
Demonstrated experience in Motorways & Tunnels Construction or Operation and Maintenance
Operating and Maintaining High Voltage/Medium Voltage Systems
Fire systems experience, and water treatment facilities is highly regarded
UPS and automatic changeover systems
SCADA & PLC fault finding and interrogation
Electrical Trade Qualification & NSW Electrical License
Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation
Experience in Elevated Work platform (EWP) and High Voltage Safe Working Practices
Hold a driver’s licence and have the ability to work night shift on shut downs
