About the role
Reporting to the Group Manager – Procurement and Tender Review, you will provide leadership and direction in the categories under management; including supply chain management and development, strategic planning and execution, and contract and risk management activities to meet business needs.
You will be a trusted commercial partner who works collaboratively with our leaders, stakeholders, and suppliers to:
Develop, lead and execute category plans and sourcing strategies based on research and analysis to optimise value for money outcomes and meet stakeholder needs and expectations.
Identify and manage commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputation, ethical and supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts on category objectives while encouraging opportunity and innovation.
Lead negotiations on high impact, complex supply arrangement and contract issues to deliver better category outcomes.
Influence the business on all aspects of procurement to encourage best practice, best commercial value, and ensure compliance and sustainability
Develop and implement category management plan to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and challenge and motivate providers to optimise service outcomes.
To meet the challenges of this role, you will have demonstrated experience delivering complex procurement initiatives leveraging sourcing, category management and supplier relationship management skills and experience. You will also have:
Relevant Degree, ideally specialising in Procurement, Supply Chain
Strong tender and contract management experience and competency with the ability to work with inhouse legal counsel
Previous experience of implementing a strategic procurement sourcing strategy
A track record of dealing with multiple stakeholders where positive relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers has been established and maintained
Experience in managing a decentralised purchasing process
Advanced numerical and commercial analytical skills
Advanced Excel skills
