We have a permanent opportunity available for high performing Commercial Manager with experience in business risks at our Rockdale site.
The Ventia Boral Amey Joint Venture (VBAJV) is a partnership between three leading organisations which combines internationally recognised asset management expertise with local knowledge and experience to offer world class solutions to their customers. Under the Stewardship Maintenance Contract (SMC), VBA JV are responsible for managing and maintaining the Road Assets on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) in the South Sydney area.

About the role
Located at Rockdale, we are looking for a passionate, and highly motivated Commercial Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Business & Risk Manager, the role is responsible for ensuring all commercial issues and risks are identified and satisfactorily managed for the business. You will be able to ensure the continued success of the implementation, timeliness and performance of specified commercially oriented projects
Further key responsibilities include:
Ability to commit to Safety through personal behaviours, visible and accountable leadership
Implementing contract risk management framework
Review and confirm commercial risks and opportunities and ensure they are identified, recorded, communicated
Undertaking regular detailed reviews of project performance/compliance with standard commercial and contract administration systems and processes
Manage subcontractor contractual requirements and measure performance against agreed operational and financial metrics.
Development and accurate delivery of all reporting requirements for the Contract
Identify synergies across delivery teams to streamline processes and delivery of services
Ownership and management of contract variation process
As a successful applicant you would have the following abilities:
Tertiary qualification in commerce or business management
Significant experience in the commercial management of contracts
Experience in the Transport industry and managing the financial accounts of a commercial/contract type environment
Sound knowledge and proven experience in applying financial and accounting systems and processes to service contracts
Proven experience in computer applications and databases for financial reporting
Strong Organisational skills including being confident in managing stakeholders at all levels
Excellent customer communication skills, oral and written
