About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent, your primary purpose will be to undertake splicing activities as required to meet the client's standards on all jointing / fibre work to the distribution and local network. Day to day duties include and are not limited to: -
Testing optical circuits and dark fibre testing
Inserting cables and splicing DFN and LFN joints
Completing work site inductions/risk assessments, Quality labels, and pride sticker's on new joints,
Completing quality As-builts
Cutovers (weekend and Night work can be required).
Your previous splicing experience, good understanding of Safe Work Method Statements and associated risk assessments together with high-level communication and time management skills and initiative to work in an unsupervised environment give you the essentials for the role.
In additional, you must have: -
Current General Industry OH&S Induction card
Current, valid driver's licence
Current Level Two First Aid and CPR - desirable
Confined Space training - desirable
General Knowledge of the Telstra network
