The Ventia Boral Amey Joint Venture (VBAJV) is a partnership between three leading organisations which combines internationally recognised asset management expertise with local knowledge and experience to offer world class solutions to their customers. Under the Stewardship Maintenance Contract (SMC), VBA JV are responsible for managing and maintaining the Road Assets on behalf of Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) in the South Sydney area.
About the role
We are looking for a highly organised and meticulous Pre Works Planning Coordinator to join the team on a 6 month fixed term contract. Reporting to the PMO Manager, the role is required to implement programme and commercial best practice to maximise value and minimise risk to the project. Having the ability to plan and meet deadlines will be important in ensuring scheduled defects and activities are actioned within specification and contractual obligations
As the Pre Works Planning Coordinator, you will be working in a fast paced working environment, requiring you to be adaptable and able to manage many tasks at once, while working with a high degree of autonomy. You will have exceptional customer service skills as you will be working with internal and external stakeholders.
Further key responsibilities include:
Demonstrating commitment to SHEQ through personal example and behaviours, visible and accountable leadership and participation in monitoring of established working practices
Ensuring accurate allocations regular reviews are taking place
Ensure that both internal and external programming and reporting requirements are met
Support the business in developing and implementing programme strategies for successfully winning bids
Contractor management/reviving of contractor documents
Assisting the asset team with defect management of routine maintenance
As a successful applicant you would have the following abilities:
Background in roads and tunnel maintenance highly desirable
Workplace health and safety construction induction
Experience of planning and co-ordination
Knowledge of Roads Maintenance Contracts
Experience in Construction management
Demonstrated organisational, planning and coordination skills.
Problem solving and analytical thinking
