About the role
In NSW, we maintain 670 kilometres of roads, 201 bridges and eight tunnels as part of NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS). This role will provide proactive service within the Lane Cove Tunnel and M2 Motorway with the occasional travel to other sites within Sydney. You will safely work towards ensuring electrical preventive and corrective maintenance activities are maintained in a timely and cost-effective manner.
As the Electrical Technician you will working in a fast paced working environment, requiring you to be adaptable and able to manage many tasks at once, while working with a high degree of autonomy. You will have exceptional customer service skills as you will be working with a wide variety of contracts, client and customers everyday.
You’ll be responsible for several key activities including:
Conducting technical investigations to identify replacement and improvement opportunities.
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance as directed.
Provide supervision of specialist subcontractors to ensure site safety standards are maintained.
Respond to emergencies and incidents as required.
Updating asset management systems including asset condition reporting.
Demonstrated experience in heavy industry desirable
Operating and Maintaining High Voltage/Medium Voltage Systems
SCADA & PLC fault finding and interrogation
Electrical Trade Qualification & NSW Electrical License
Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation
Experience in Elevated Work platform (EWP) and High Voltage Safe Working Practices
First Aid Certificate
Hold a driver’s licence
