Our team of highly motivated professional working on incident response and maintenance services across NSW, we maintain 670 kilometres of roads, 201 bridges and eight tunnels as part of NSW Roads and Maritime Services (RMS). This role will work across the Cross City Tunnel which over 10 years has had 150m vehicle journeys, the Eastern Distributor which sits under Australia’s most densely populated urban area as well as the 3.6km Lane Cove Tunnel and 21km Hills M2 Motorway.
About the role
We are looking for a trade qualified Fire Panel Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Operations and Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for proactively work towards achieving optimum preventative and corrective maintenance activities across multiple sites.
As the Fire Panel Technician you will working in a fast paced working environment, requiring you to be adaptable and able to manage many tasks at once, while working with a high degree of autonomy. Ideally you will have experience in servicing, trouble shooting and ensuring we are compliant with current legislation and standards
You’ll be responsible for several key activities including:
Develop and deliver against multiple project plans
Ensure work orders are completed on time and to budget
Troubleshooting and rectifying faults
Ensure sites are compliant to latest fire standards
Manage incident response activities
Quoting & raising purchase orders
Trade qualified electrician
Minimum 1 year’s experience in fire maintenance industry (desirable)
Drivers licence is required
Cert II or III Fire Protection Inspection & Testing (desirable)
Working knowledge and experience with Simplex fire system (desirable)
Ability to work some night shifts
Able to build strong working relationships within the business and with clients
