About the role
It is an exciting time to join our business and we currently have a requirement for a Payroll Officer to join our Group Payroll Team in our corporate headquarters at Chatswood. This role will see you manage your assigned responsibilities within the Ventia group payroll function, working in unison with the Finance, P&C and external providers to deliver on-time, compliant payroll production, management and statutory reporting and payroll support services to the Ventia Group.
To meet the challenge of this role, you have the well-developed ability to work across all stratum of the organisation, from our project teams to our organisations mid and senior executives.
Demonstrable experience with medium-high volume production, complex payroll/HRIS systems
Demonstrable experience with complex and multiple awards/EBA's and interpretation
Demonstrable experience with complex Time & Attendance systems such as Kronos etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organisation
Demonstrated superior customer service skills
Ability to work autonomously, to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and resources for self and others in order to ensure work is completed efficiently and effectively
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and key stakeholders
Proven high level written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to escalate issues and provide advice to management on complex matters.
