We have an opportunity for an experience Dual Trade Electrical Instrument Technician to join a fast paced and growing organisation.
We looking to connect with a highly motivated and experienced Dual Trade Electrical Instrument Technician to join our Delivery Team in providing essential water and sanitation services to more than 1.7 million people and 52,000 business customers in the northern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Our client manages more than 3.7 billion dollars of water and sewage infrastructure, including reticulated recycled water, across an area of approximately 4,000 square kilometers.

About the role
We are looking for a passionate, and organised Dual Trade Electrical Instrument Technician to join our Delivery Team, with your main goal being to take ownership of and to ensure the timely electrical maintenance support for our pumping stations, treatment plant and storage facilities. Reporting to the Delivery Team leader your ability to provide support safely and to best practice will set you above everyone else.
Working in a fast-paced environment which is dynamic in nature, you will have the confidence to within a multi-disciplined team. Opportunities to gain further skills and knowledge will the field will be made available to someone who wants to do and learn more.
You’ll be responsible for several key activities including:
Be a safety champion within your team
Provide routine maintenance and project work on all assets
Ensure daily maintenance, diagnosis and repair of electrical and instrument faults is conducted in a safe and timely manner
Completing all work orders and purchase orders in a timely manner
Actively communicate and liaise with all team members
Updating and using single line, control and PID diagrams
Hold a VIC “A” Grade Electrical Licence
Have a Cert IV in Electrical Instrumentation
Have a current Australian drivers license
Experience with SCADA systems
Demonstrated experience in fault finding, ability to diagnose and repair LV & ELV systems
Significant experience in the water industry or similar heavy industry
Ability to participate in the on-call roster
