About the role
Reporting into the Executive manager – Sales – Energy and Resources, your role is to serve as subject matter expert for the energy and resources vertical. This includes providing technical leadership and competitive advantage through consultation with client’s operational technical teams, technology partners and operations teams to generate high level designs and proposals.
In addition to this, other key accountabilities of the role will be:
Supporting the implementation of our customer entry strategy by collaborating internal and external stakeholders to ensure an aligned outcome for the overall benefit of Visionstream
Identifying and reporting technical gaps by customer with the focus of increasing pipeline
Assisting in developing Visionstream’s competitive differentiation as the Energy and Resources telecommunications Specialist and partner of choice for OEM and Technology Manufacturers
Supporting a pipeline of sales opportunities within the sector which are aligned with Visionstream’s growth and revenue targets
Providing regular insight into new technologies customers/industry are reviewing, assisting in the development of Vendor strategies for market and customer entry.
Supporting the Executive Manager to create a customer focused culture
To meet the challenge of this role, you will have extensive experience in technical development within the Energy and Resources or related sector, and a well-developed ability to review and develop network architectures. You will also have:
A tertiary qualification in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or similar field
Experience in IP & Networking, and Radio Access Networks (RAN)
Proven experience with Infrastructure (fixed and mobile) and Backhaul (Microwave, Fibre, SDH, Carrier MPLS Services)
The ability to work within a high paced environment and be willing and adaptable to take on multiple tasks
Heavy Haulage rail signalling & Mining Autonomous Haulage Systems experience will be highly regarded
To be successful in the role you will demonstrate initiative, open communication, the ability to effectively work across teams, and have a willingness to embrace change and adopt new process.
The role has a requirement of national coverage; the successful candidate must have the ability to be flexible with travel.
