About the role
The Project Planner is responsible for creating and applying project controls to multiple program of work for the relevant portfolio of works within the Visionstream’s Wireless line of business. The portfolio of programs is provided to Programme Managers, Project Director, National PMO Manager, Design Managers, National Construction Manager and other stakeholders clear visibility of forecast work in hand (risk and opportunities).
The successful candidate must possess excellent organisation skills, an ability to prioritise and excellent communication skills. To be successful in this role you will require:
Bachelor of Construction Management/Engineering or equivalent
5 - 7 years or more experience with project planning and scheduling applications skills in Primavera P6.
Experience with project planning and scheduling applications skills in Microsoft Project.
Experience with liaising with different stakeholders in different forums to perform data collection tasks (progress, resources information, slippages, etc.) for updating of the relevant program of work for the project in accordance to the agreed frequency.
Experience with conducting analysis against reported forecast dates and baseline schedule, risk, slippages and opportunities
Experience with working within a PMO team or similar providing the project team governance on program management as well as day to day support to the project team
Experience with the use of various planning and control techniques including but not limited to critical path analysis, resourced program, delay analysis, mitigation action planning and S-curves
Relevant experience in the Telecommunications industry is highly desirable
Advanced skills in Ms Excel and ability to produce reports to demonstrate program performance to project team and/or stakeholders
Experienced and skilled in interacting with different and multiple stakeholders in the project including client.
Experienced in managing and mentoring junior team members or project team members
